How to register as an individual skater

You can register online on the London Inline Marathon website (www.londoninlinemarathon.com) and pay through the PayPal system. Alternatively you can download and print a form from the website and send it with a cheque for the appropriate amount. We regret that we can only accept UK cheques in pounds sterling (GBP). Note that on the day we can accept only cash payments or cheques with a cheque guarantee card.

How to register as team for the quad race

Each individual team member should register via one of the processes listed above.  Once all 5 team members have registered please email the event organisers, listing the 5 team members and the team name.  They will provide instructions on how to pay the additional team registration fee.
Team registration will close when online registration closes 2 weeks before the event.  It will not be possible to register for the team event on the  day.

Deadline

Deadline for receipt of postal registrations and payment is Sunday 6th of May 2012.

Online registration and payment will be open up to Sunday 6th of May 2012 , 23:00, or until all available entries are taken.

Classifications

Besides the overall classifications, there are separate age-group classifications.

Results, Awards and Prizes

All results will be made available through the www.londoninlinemarathon.com web pages as soon as possible after the race.

Awards will be given to the first three skaters in various categories in each race.  A cash prize may be awarded to the overall winner of the full London Inline Marathon and the Quad Endurance Challenge.

Timing

This year we will be using an active transponder timing system provided by DB Max. Due to the high cost of the transponders all entrants will be required to sign for their timing chip at the race registration desk.  An additional fully refundable deposit of £10 will also be required on the day.  The transponder then must be returned after the race where it will be signed back in and the £10 deposit will be refunded.

IMPORTANT If you lose or damage your timing chip you will be charged a £65 replacement fee

Chip rental is included in your entry fee.

The timing chip must not be changed in any way.

The chip must be attached on the boot in the lace area or on the ankle with the provided cable or strip (It must NOT be attached to the metal frame of a skate)

No chip - no classification!

Confirmation

Confirmation of entry will be sent only if requested and the competitor provides an email address.

Race Documentation

Race packs and numbers should be collected from the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit on the day of the race
- between 10:00 and 10:30 for the 5k race
- between 10:30 and 11:30 for the full and half marathon
- between 12:30 and 2:45 for the quad race

Race numbers are to be worn on the right thigh. The race number must not be changed in any way.

Course

The course is slightly less than one mile long, so the Full Marathon will be 28 laps. The track is smooth asphalt, running anti-clockwise with some undulations, bends and a gentle hill.
For the London Inline Marathon, a lap counter will be positioned adjacent to the Start/Finish line. A bell will be rung at the beginning of the final lap for the lead skaters/groups.
For the Quad Race, an airhorn will be sounded at the end of 90 minutes. Each skater can finish the lap they are currently on, and this will count as part of their total however no new laps can be started after the horn is sounded.

First Aid

Emergency First Aid will be provided.

Refreshment and Water Stations

Course: A water station will be situated at the trackside providing water to participants throughout their race.

Refreshments will also be available for sale to competitors and spectators.

Finish

The races will be closed after 2h 30min (Full and Half Marathon), 1h 30min (Quad race) and 30min (5k race). Skaters who are still on the track after these times may not be allowed to start another lap.

Liability

Participation is at the skater's risk. Liability of any kind will be assumed neither by the organiser, the circuit, sponsors, nor officials. This also applies to accidents, lost items of clothing and other belongings. The collection of a participant's race number acknowledges that participant's fitness to compete and agreement with the present terms and conditions.
